Cheshire Clarity was founded on a simple belief: exceptional jewellery should be beautifully crafted, responsibly sourced, and within reach.
My name is Harriet, founder of Cheshire Clarity. After spending several years travelling the world by boat, I combined a lifelong passion for fine jewellery with specialist knowledge of gemstones, diamonds and jewellery craftsmanship, alongside a natural flair for creative design, to create a truly personal bespoke jewellery experience.
At the heart of Cheshire Clarity is a deep connection to the character and lifestyle of Cheshire. I want my collections to genuinely reflect the beauty, heritage and spirit of the Cheshire countryside- celebrating the hobbies, traditions and passions that make country life so special. From our Equestrian Collection to our Shotgun Collection, each collection is thoughtfully inspired by the countryside and designed to turn the things you love into beautifully crafted pieces of jewellery. My vision is to create collections that feel unmistakably Cheshire: elegant, timeless and rooted in the countryside, while still being modern and wearable.
Specialising in ethical lab-grown diamonds and moissanite, I work closely with each client to bring their vision to life with expert guidance, exceptional craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail.

So what are Lab-Diamonds?
How are they made?
The process
Lab-grown diamonds are created using advanced technology that replicates the natural conditions under which diamonds form deep within the Earth. A tiny diamond seed is placed in a controlled environment and exposed to extreme heat and pressure, allowing carbon atoms to gradually form around the seed and create a genuine diamond crystal. The result is a diamond with the same chemical, physical and optical properties as a mined diamond- simply created above ground, without the need for traditional mining.

Lab-grown diamonds are generally more affordable because they can be produced in a controlled environment without the extensive costs associated with traditional diamond mining. There is no need for large-scale mining operations, lengthy extraction processes or the significant infrastructure required to locate and recover diamonds from the earth. This allows lab-grown diamonds to offer the same beauty, durability and chemical composition as mined diamonds, at a more accessible price.
Are they Ethical?

Choosing a lab-grown diamond can be a more ethical alternative to traditional diamond mining. While modern regulations and industry initiatives have improved standards, diamond mining has historically been associated with exploitative labour, unsafe working conditions and, in some regions, forced labour and conflict diamonds. Lab-grown diamonds are created above ground in controlled environments, offering greater supply-chain transparency and avoiding the need for traditional mining.
Can you tell the difference?
A testing kit can't tell the difference!
Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds- not imitations or substitutes. They have the same chemical composition, crystal structure, physical properties and optical characteristics as natural diamonds. To the naked eye, they are indistinguishable, and even professional diamond-testing equipment cannot simply identify a stone as lab-grown based on its appearance or chemical composition. Specialist laboratory equipment is required to determine whether a diamond is lab-grown or naturally formed.
Are they Certified?

At Cheshire Clarity, every lab-grown diamond will arrive with professional certification, giving you complete confidence in its quality and specifications. Each certified diamond is independently assessed and graded for key characteristics such as carat, colour, clarity and cut. We also offer beautiful moissanite gemstones as a more affordable alternative for those looking for exceptional sparkle at a lower price point. Please note that our moissanite gemstones do not come with diamond certification.
Resale Value
Which would you prefer?
Like natural mined diamonds, lab-grown diamonds are not typically an investment and will usually resell for less than their original retail price. In many cases, diamonds may resell for around 50% or less of the original purchase price, depending on the stone, market conditions and where you sell it. So rather than paying a premium for a mined diamond and potentially losing a significant amount on resale, you can choose a lab-grown diamond at a much more accessible price from the outset - giving you more diamond for your money.

What is the return policy?
Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. If this isn't the case, let us know and we'll do our best to work with you to make it right. If you have designed a bespoke piece, we cannot except returns but we can change the item to suit your preferance.
Delivery
All of the items are made to order and will be recieved within 3-4 weeks. Bespoke orders may take longer whilst we spend time with you to create your dream design.
How does bespoke jewellery designing work?
Get in touch with us. You will find our contact details at the top of the page. Feel free to send us refernce photos or a detailed description of what you would like to design. We will work closely with you to create mock-up CAD designs and once fully approaved, we will begin creating the design in our workshop. If you would like, we can send photos throughout the process to help you follow along with us for the whole process. We will get your final approval and then send the piece directly to your prefered address. As easy as that!!!
Do you work with Mined Diamonds?
Cheshire Clarity’s philosophy is centred around ethical, responsible jewellery, which is why we primarily work with lab-grown diamonds.
However, we’re happy to help modify, redesign or remodel your existing jewellery, including pieces featuring mined diamonds, allowing you to keep and repurpose stones with sentimental value.
